  • The Stockholm Cathedral Choir recently performed at the Swedish church in San Pedro, California. The solo pianist Lars Roos gave an equally breath taking performance for a crowded church audience.
    Stockholm Cathedral is one of Sweden’s most important places of worship and is the venue for many of the country’s national celebrations and Royal ceremonies. The Cathedral Choir, which consists of 40 members, plays an integral part of the cathedral’s musical life participating in many of these important services as well as giving approximately 20 concerts every year.   • Lars Roos, solo pianist, who made a quite remarkable performance in conjunction with the Stockholm Cathedral Choir’s (Storkyrkokören) concert at the Swedish church in Sa Pedro on June 26; Jeanette Diaz-Barbosa with the SWEA Los Angeles dalahorse from the 25th anniversary of SWEA, painted by Gunilla Marlis, SWEA LA. Diaz-Barbosa will receive her award at the SWEA Int; 30th anniversary dinner Aug. 13 at the National Museum, Stockholm.
