Seattle: Meet Nordic Fashion!

HRH Princess Madeleine has canceled her trip to Seattle. It is expected that Crown Princess Victoria will open the Nordic Heritage Museum's Fashion and Arctic Summer event on May 8 in her place.

  • Polarn o Pyret children's wear from Sweden is now available in the U.S.
  • We hear this event has SOLD OUT. Do not despair, however, the Nordic Museum in Seattle offers events all year long and to stay informed, why not join the network of the Arctic Circle? (Contact Stina Cowan at stinac@nordicmuseum.org) Here's a little of what you may have missed this time:
Arctic Summer Fashion Show in Seattle: HRH Princess Madeleine of Sweden has canceled her trip to the West coast and will not be coming to Seattle.
Her older sister — Sweden's Crown Princess Victoria — is expected to attend instead and will open this year's Arctic Summer event, presented by the Nordic Heritage Museum Arctic Circle and Swedish Women's Educational Association (SWEA), Seattle. Featured designers will include Moods of Norway, Nudie Jeans, 15x15, AOCO by Annika, Polarn o Pyret, Molo Kids, Marimekko, Spaksmannsspjarir, Happysthlm, and Emami, as well as up-and-coming designers showcased at the Copenhagen Fashion Summit. Ole Henriksen, the man and face behind the skin care brand Ole Henriksen, will emcee the show. Be sure to stay for the trunk sale afterwards. Ticket price includes goodie bag, drink and appetizers.
