Nordic Food in New York

Right now would be an excellent time to experience Nordic food prepared by some of the region's best chefs.. 

  • Unika by Castello cheeses
  • The 'North' Nordic Food Festival (scheduled for October 2-7) kicked off early last week at Restaurant Aquavit.

  • Aquavit chef Marcus Jernmark serving an Arla Unika cheese soup with slow-cooked celery root.
  • Teaming up with Michelin awarded Aquavit chef Marcus Jernmark Arla Foods, the fifth largest dairy company in the world, introduced four of its premium artisanal Unika by Castello cheeses to North America. The tasting event at restaurant Aquavit (first restaurant in NYC to be serving the Unika Cheeses) in New York City was a teaser of things to come.

  • As part of the program during North chef Jernmark teams up with chef Gustav Trägårdh of Restaurant Sjömagasinet in Göteborg Sweden. The two chefs have developed a "Swedish Legends Dinner Menu" available for two days only; Thursday, October 3rd at 6pm and 8pm and Friday, October 4th at 6pm and 8pm

  • Restaurant partners of 'NORTH' the New York Nordic Food Festival are Restaurant Aquavit, Aamanns Copenhagen in New York, Restaurant ASKA, Luksus at Tørst, New York and ACME New York
