Swedish jazz singer and multi-instrumentalist Gunhild Carling is coming to New York. Carling, who’s recently been playing in Washington, DC and Boston, is at Birdland in New York City for five days in December—performing between December 11 and 15 at the legendary West 44th Street club.

She will be joined by other members from her musical family for the New York visit, likely a show you don’t want to miss if you’re in town at the time. (Stockamöllan in the photo is a small village just outside of Eslöv in Skåne—the latter reputed to be the most boring town in Europe, i.e. until Gunhild moved to the area—where Carling has her Swedish home.)
