Create a Kjolväskor

This two-day class with Natalie Norman focuses on making a kjolväskor (a skirt pocket or purse) featuring appliqué and embroidered designs.

Swedish kjolväskor were part of the Swedish folk dräkt (folk dress) and were used to carry oats or salt so the cows would follow the herder home. Today, they may hold a cell phone or car keys.

This practical decorative bag serves as a reminder of heritage and as a focal point of beauty, as it carries your belongings. Ages 15+.
