Talk by Karin Moen Abercrombie and Anna Engström-Patel.
Sweden was an agricultural nation until industrialization arrived in the 1800’s. When LM Ericsson introduced the phone to Stockholm in 1880’s the capitol proved how ready it was for new ideas. With 5000 phones, Stockholm had more phones per capita than any other city in the world. This spirit lives on today, but instead of phones Stockholm produces more unicorns per capita than any other region in the world, except Silicon Valley, and Sweden consistently ranks as one of the world’s most innovative countries. Join us to learn about the characteristics of Sweden that contributes to this attitude and success?
