Ellis Island Film Screening
On Saturday, Jan. 25, the Nordic Family Genealogy Center at the Swedish American Museum will host a genealogy session focused on Ellis Island. From 1892 to 1954, more than 12 million people were pushed and pulled through the often humiliating bureaucracy of Ellis Island on their way to becoming Americans. Come hear their story at this special video screening to be followed by a discussion on how our own ancestors came to America.
Cost is free for Genealogy Center members; non-member cost is $10. Reservations appreciated. You may email the Genealogy Center (genealogy@samac.org) with any questions you may have about this session or call the Museum at 773.728.8111 and leave a message for the Genealogy Center volunteer.
