This presentation is an opportunity for those interested in Scandinavian heritage in Massachusetts to learn about a project that highlights local Swedish history and "American Dream" historic preservation.
Architect John Goff and preservation researchers will speak about their work to save the historic
Prouty-Johnson farmhouse in Burlington, MA.
Swedish-America Heritage Online board member Jeanne Rollberg will discuss genealogy research and media related to the project and will give written "take away"
tips on mining available databases and Facebook.
In addition, participants will learn about a proposed Scandinavian-American Heritage Trail in the area and can offer suggestions and ideas.
Light refreshments will be served. Location: Scandinavian Cultural Center, 206 Waltham Street, in West Newton,MA.
