The Scandinavian Hostmarknad (Fall market) is where you want to be for the 8th annual Swedish Meatball Contest!
The meatball contest is open to the public and is judged by the public, with cash prizes for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place. It starts at noon for $5/plate, which includes meatballs, mashed potatoes, gravy and lingonberries.
Other activities include folk dancing, cultural entertainment, kubb, reenacting, Scandinavian merchandise to purchase, and specialty foods and drinks. Youth can also enjoy swimming, a waterslide, Alpine tube slide, bounce house, climbing wall and gem mining.
The event draws thousands of attendees making this a great opportunity for vendors. (Vasa members received a vendor discount.)
