Sacred & Secular Exhibit Opening

The son of Swedish immigrant parents in Chicago, Stuart Carlson (1938-1980) began to study art and design from a young age. Several pieces on display are part of the museum’s permanent collection, but the majority of the art will be on loan from Carlson’s former art students.

20 works of Stuart Carlson are on exhibit in the first-floor gallery from Thursday, Oct. 6 to Sunday, Nov. 27.
