Swedesburg's annual Midsommar celebration is returning this year on June 26.
The Swedish Heritage Society is pleased to announce the group known as Tjäblom will provide the entertainment. Tjärnblom is Cheryl Paschke, Val Eng, Mary Crimini and Joe Alfano playing nyckelharpas, fiddles, mandolins and a harmonium.
The festivities begin at 7 p.m. on the Swedesburg Lutheran Church Parish Hall lawn. Each year, descendants of one of the area’s pioneer families are honored. After raising the traditional majstång, or maypole, there will be entertainment followed by refreshments. The event is free and open to the public.
