Lucia Procession and Celebration

The Swedish Christmas season begins with the observance of Santa Lucia Day and a celebration of light and music in the dark winter days. Lucia brings light to the gathering as she enters, crowned with candles and dressed in white. She is accompanied by attendants, each carrying a candle as well as “star boys” carrying their stars.

Enjoy coffee and treats following the program. We’ll dance around the Christmas tree and Santa will come to greet the children.
