You are invited to the First Open House of the New Sweden Colonial Farmstead at Tinicum in Tinicum’s Governor Printz Park on the Delaware River, 101 Taylor Avenue near 2nd & Wanamaker (I-95 Exit 9 then South on Rt. 420 toward Essington).
All seven log structures will be open for display by re-enactors, including the residence, the forge, the stable, the threshing barn, the livestock barn, the granary and the smokehouse/sauna/trading post.
The Schedule of Events includes:
11:00 Costume Parade
11:15 Welcome
11:30 Presentation of Awards
Governor Printz Park will at the same time host an antique car show and a flea market with many food and crafts tents.
The Farmstead was sponsored and funded by the Crystal Trust, The Swedish Colonial Society, the New Sweden Company, Whibco, the Tinicum Township Historical Society, Tinicum Township and The New Sweden Center.
