Nobel's Peace Prize 2014
Women and children in focus for this year's award. The two winners of this year’s Nobel Peace Prize were Pakistan’s Malala Yousafzai and India’s Kailash Satyarthi. At 17, Yousafzai, who was shot by the Taliban in 2012 for campaigning for the right of girls to attend school, becomes the youngest Nobel Peace Prize winner in history. Satyarthi, 60, has for many years been working to abolish child slavery. The Nobel committee in Norway said the two receive the award “for their struggle against the suppression of children and young people and for the right of all children to education.” -
